JIMMY CHOO RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS HONORARY MALAYSIAN TITLE

Posted on 02:11 by Unknown

Luxury shoe couturier Jimmy Choo recently received the Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) award, the equivalent of a British Knighthood. The prestigious title was bestowed on 01 June 2013 to coincide with His Majestic King of Malaysia, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah’s birthday and means that the world-renowned designer is now referred to as Datuk Jimmy Choo.

Originally from Penang, Datuk Jimmy Choo’s creations are well-established celebrity’s favourites with famous clients including Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez and the Duchess of Cambridge. The hailed designer is also Malaysia’s Tourism Ambassador showcasing the country’s fabulous offering for international visitors.

Renowned for its buzzing cities, outstanding wildlife and scenery, Malaysia has also become one of Asia’s top shopping destinations with Kuala Lumpur counting no less than 23 different shopping malls, home to the most sought after designers and brands. The country is also hosting an array of exciting shopping events including the soon to be launched 1Malaysia Unified Sale. Running from 29 June to 1 September 2013, the event will showcase discounts, incentives and/or added services. Shopaholics can also opt for seamless and affordable Christmas shopping Malaysia’s End of Year Sale running from November to January.  True bargain hunters will be keen to venture to the local street markets where local goods including plates, vases, silverware and woodcarvings abound.
